I'll be there Friday night, too. If anyone wants to join me for lunch BEFORE the show, let me know. Usually I go to one of those places on 5th Street highway near the mall in Reading. Oh hell yeah !!!

Ted- I'll be there in spirit but that weekend kicks off my new practice so I'll have to pass. Be sure and say hello To Mike Peich and Tim Newcomb (if he makes it) for me and tell them I will definitely see them (and you) this summer in Chi-Town

Tim Newcomb and I will be there for all three days. I look forward to seeing everyone, including Jeff Mohler and his new friend Ty Cobb of Pinkerton fame, as well as the McKees, particularly if Dan is sharing his beer--Friday is always a thirst producing evening. Now, if we could just persuade T-Bob that the airplane won't fall out of the sky when he is on it, we'd have an even better group. See you all in few weeks.
Cheers, Mike

I will bring the 1949 Leaf Billy Johnson cards for your examination (per your request).

And, I'll bring my T206 SOVEREIGN set to show you (since you once said you like this T-brand).

Is there anything else you want me to have at the Show ?

Keep heading north past the malls for about two miles and Shell's will be on your right.

May I also reccommend Legends in the old Ramada on fifth street for the best chicken cheesesteaks in town!

Feel free to email for any other local info.

Just a short distance from the Reading Expo Center is the Crab Shack which features a nice selection of seafood.
Just continue on Rte. 12 and within a couple of miles (or less) you will see it. And, I have yet to encounter a long
wait at this place.
For those of you not familiar with the Reading area's Restaurant situation on any given weekend. There are a lot of
great restaurants and a typical waiting time for most of these restaurants is....TWO HOURS ! !

Reservations are not accepted.

Doesn't Ted Taylor always go to the Philly Show ? If so, maybe someone can ask him about his STAT Authentic company. Also have him read the other thread on here which is approaching 600 replies about Authentic autos.

Ted I assume Friday is usually not super busy?

Friday nights at the previous three Reading Shows have been busy (at least for me). The
Reading facility is so huge that it is difficult to gauge how large the crowd is.

Unless you are staying overnite in the area, I recommend arriving early Saturday or Sunday.
You need an entire day to cover all the dealers and do it right.

To me, the Friday nights at the new Reading expo center have been substantially less crowded than the Friday nights at the previous Ft. Washington expo center. I don't know about dealers' sales, though.

I have to say.... I liked Ft. Washington better. The commute was easier for me... and the room had a certain 'card-show-charm'.

I will say, I am sure the 'less crowded' feel has a lot to do with Reading being a bigger place. Bigger room, bigger aisles, just plain bigger.

I was told by a very honest man that this card does exist. If I do find it, I will put it with my E98 Hornsby. Guess I have to go do my homework. Back to the drawing board.

Ted you are a funny guy. Brian W and I are always very cool with each other! And I already have Evers in a Drum back, I was teasing Toby as he has been trying to squeeze it out of me. I am planning on bringing my T206 set for you to see if you have time. Dan.

happy you stepped in here for an intervention. Conflict is not good. I no longer am looking for a Drum Evers.

Reading Trivia: Who was the only baseball player to hit a homerun his first at bat but never hit another one? Prize for the winner.

Dan,
I will bring some Uncle Jacks for you. Maybe we can work a trade for another card? I would keep the Drum too!!!

Joe -

For the Philly & NY area collectors, the Ft. Washington show was more convenient. For me & others, the Reading show is more convenient. Plus the Reading show has more available restaurants for lunch before the show
