Default What ink to use in vintage wool jersey?

Hi,

What sharpie or permanent ink should I use to have an athlete sign an old wool jersey? Any tips to prevent bleeding? Is there a to do checklist to ensure a perfect signature?

Thank you

If you are talking about a M and N jersey. I can tell you that it is a gamble. Some people can sign so fast that it will not bleed but if you are talking about one jersey it is a gamble. I had Mantle sign five Jerseys and three where good.
You might ask Kenny Golden if has any advice.

"Risky" is right... I have seen very few that even look good. The Wools/Flannel Jerseys that Halper had signed all bled through to the other side.

The porous wool surface just isn't a good "canvas" for ink of any kind, IMO.
