Prices were fairly strong on what I was bidding on, no bargains, but quite pleased.

The auction software seemed to work flawless even in the closing seconds of each intial period, which normally bog down.

On to tomorrow night!

the caramel sets were strong, our group lost out on the e97s and e98s...one not even close.

i was watching the weil baking ruth gai3...that was relatively cheap at 15.1k after juice. graded vgs have been in the 18k range...maybe bidders were scared of the holder.

Did anyone win lot 197 (40 OJs)? If so, please let me know if you're interested in breaking it up and selling some of the cards.

Thanks!

I was the underbidder on the 14 Matty CJ...and was pissed (it still went for a very fair price, maybe a little light). But getting two Cobbs gave me some consolation.

Jeff - I was right under you on that 1914 cj matty. It was still a very good price.

Quan - I think is was the holder that was holding back that Weil Ruth. In a PSA or SGC holder I think it is an 18k+ card.

I was shocked at the price on the E98 lot tonight. The cards were all low grade and yet the price was very stout. Mostly 10s. It makes you want to kick yourself when you sell E98s in the BST and ebay with reasonable BINs which are 30s and 40s and then see these prices. No one to blame but myself though

I won the 1935 Goudey lot and lost out on a few other lots.
I was the consigner of the e97 near set and 1 of the e98 near sets and was happy with the results(for a change)

Michael- that is one knockout Keeler, and it was a fun dinner last night. Everyone gets along great, we have a nice group.

Alan- congrats on the E97 and E98 sale.

Well I whiff'ed and went 0'fer lastnight. So much for the market being soft. I think the prices where average to strong and very strong in some cases. Well maybe better luck tonight.

Joe, yes, the Colgan's is a bit off left to right but luckily SGC doesn't downgrade on this issue due to centering.

I was referring to the green cobby... top to bottom.

The centering looks just fine on the colgans - but the corners are a bit rounded.

Joe, my deadpan delivery fooled you -- I had an idea you were talking about the Green Cobby. As for the Colgan's, SGC noted that because the corners were all evenly worn they would not deduct any points due to alteration.

Hey Jeff,

I think I know how to fix that Cobby. When I was a kid, we had a TV that did that exact same thing all the time. Open the little door on the bottom and adjust the vertical hold.

I have been watching and bidding on several lots....They all closed correctly for me...however, if you didn't refresh it, it could have counted down and you might have missed it.

I bid on a lot with less than a minute to go on the clock. I was outbid by proxy and then the auction just ended at the next increment higher than my bid. The clock did not reset.

After being shutout last night on both lots I was going after, the Cabal managed to regroup and pull out a win tonight on the e98s. I believe these were the much-heralded Skydash e98s as well

Congrats to everyone on their victories the past couple nights!

Jeff - if it happened to both of us, then it appears to be a serious bug in the software. Mastro should get that fixed as it is costing their consignors money.

See Richard and Jeff's posts right above. They seem to have had the same issue....but yes, the clocks definitely should reset their time after a bid....is my understanding.

This time around, the clocks only reset if a new bid became the high bid.

OK.......But my bid didn`t move the existing bid up......I thought Mastro would have this thing down to a science by now.... they are leaving money on the table unless they are the ones bidding........Makes me wonder....
