I like the Cobb you picked up Brian, but I don't recognize it. Is it a magazine issue, and what are the dimensions?

Thank you, David. The original description by the seller identified the Cobb as a 1912 exhibit, but another member has disputed the designation. The pieces measure 8.5 inches long by 5.5 inches wide. I also just agreed to purchase the Marquard from this issue:

Brian, they look like bookplates, likely bound or something in some way at the top (like a notepad would have been.) thickness? Paper, cardstock, or cardboard?

You handled it and a few others at the last national or the one before that.

Thanks Leon, I didn't connect the dots with the ones you showed me then, I think that was my opinion then as well. I seem to remember them being thicker paper w/ slight glossy texture to them.

Thank you. From my observation, since they are in transit, it does not look like they are bound. If they were, I would have passed. They seem to be either cardstock or cardboard. |

Brian,
I cannot identify your Cobb, but I can tell you this much: that photo is the one used for the T201 Mecca double folder (Cobb/Crawford). That's pretty cool! Scott |

They are 100% period heavy cardstock, not cardboard. They have a nice aged patina to them also. There is no doubt they are from the early 1900s due to their paper-stock and feel. Never could identify them but most likely had something to do with M113s imo....

Thank you and thank you for your e-mail help on this matter. I literally can't wait to get my hands on these two items. Here is a link from Leon's e-mail about the M113s which I believe are a sister creation, but not these items. I hope I am not wrong: http://www.oldcardboard.com/m/m113/m...?cardsetID=971 |

The one card I wanted more than any for my Gehrig collection. PWCC sale. 11 or 12 graded, 1 higher.
