Default Really Cool- Letters from Tobacco Card Collectors in 1910!

People on the board are always speculating about how people treated cards (throwing them out, etc.), but these letters offer a different perspective. These are two letters between "pen pals" from 1910-1911 and in the letters they discuss their "tobacco card" collections. They even exchanged cards, and I have one of the cards they exchanged, which was still in the original envelope with the letter. Pretty cool to see that there were even older collectors when the cards were first issued! Let me know what you guys think!

Really neat on many levels. One of which is the penmanship. My handwriting is so bad, sometimes even I can't read it. And I'm of a generation where we had penmanship lessons in school. I don't think my kids did. They've never had to write by hand much ... not even in school. I think it's becoming a lost art.

That penmanship is amazing....forty years ago, I WAS that neat...

Hey! There's a niche group whose needs aren't being met by eBay! Want to get in on the ground floor? There could be tens of dollars to be made here!
