Picked up this George Eastman ADS (signed three times.)

It goes with my 1888 original "The Kodak" camera--the black one. (The first Kodak manufactured by Eastman.)

I added some snapshot to my "HOF snapshot collection":

Probably one of my favorite and best hauls! I got this from a guy's who's mother went to baseball games and took pictures of her favorite players. Then the next day she would get the film developed to have the picture signed by the player for the next time they were in town. Here's some of the pictures I got. She lived in Pitt,PA.

Jackie Robinson signed on Aug 3, 1949 turns out it's fainted autograph, really nice pen indentation. Jackie went 1/5 that game.:

Duke Snider Aug 3, 1949 Again, great indentation on photo hard to see with hardly any ink. Says, "Best wishes" in the corner. Snider went 5/5 with 5 RBIs and a HR.:

Forbes Field 1957 against Dodgers:

Robin Roberts- Looks like he signed it once and didn't work so he signed it again, did a better job.

Richie Ashburn-Not signed, but still a cool picture.

Robin Roberts-Sept 1951 signed nicely.

Joe DiMaggio and Duke Snider signed photo. Looks like Joe did a very rushed auto.

Well can't speak for you but I see plenty of purpose picking up a Cy Young, MVPs and an MVP candidate. Doesn't bother me at all what it looks like and I'm enjoying spending the days with my dad. I bet cursive gave the print folks hell when it came around too.

I was back at Dodger camp today too. Did pretty well. I got another nice Donnie.

Hanley Ramirez

Adrian Gonzalez was mad at me about something so he side paneled and sharpied me.

Then I walked over to White Sox camp and got young gun Chris Sale

Tomorrow is our last day. We're going to be at Reds camp hoping for Joey Votto.

Well he's only spending 3 seconds signing something for about a hundred people so it's not going to look like it does at the shows.

You know a good nail man in Phoenix?

I have a really nice 'Mike Rogodzinski' autograph - I have to admit, it was irritating to watch so many stars walk by while Mr. Rogodzinski slowly and meticulously signed his frigging gargantuanormous last name.

I believe they are the signatures of players. But it could be a coded message too.

I believe he went to the local elementary school where he passed out baseballs and asked the children to draw pictures of the things they love.

Picture one was done by Melissa - 'This is my family, Daddy, Mommy and my brother Jimmy'.

Picture two was done by Tommy - 'This is my dog Petey. We do everything together'.

Did I win? Did I win?!!!!

Oh, I'm so sorry, I thought this was a contest: Guess what is on these baseballs..........

Great sigs Packs, ugly or not, it's great to get them in person and for free. Takes me back to my 2 childhood spring training trips.. still have the 15-20 sigs I got there. Agree, with others though, moderns sigs have gone downhill... people just don't hand write anymore.

My most recent signed card just arrived today..

It is amazing how bad the signatures of current players are. I'll stick to vintage.

You must somehow get Konstantinov's name added.

There were no better, nor will there ever be any better games then when the Red Wings played the Avalanche in the mid to late 90's. Better than any sports rivalry EVER!!!!!

Finished up the week at Reds camp today and did very well. Reds
camp was really tough and not the most fan friendly.

Here's speedster Billy Hamilton. Hope he steals 200 bases this year.

All Star Brandon Phillips

And 2010 NL MVP Joey Votto

All in all over the past week I got 1 HOFer (Koufax!), 2 Cy Youngs, 4 MVPs, 12 All Stars, the number 1 second base prospect in Rougned Odor and 3 more top prospects in Taijuan Walker, Hamilton and Joc Pederson.

Thanks Paul, I would really like to collect all of those signatures. And I agree that rivalry was amazing, every game was electric and anything could happen.
In my opinion best rivalry ever ,Im glad its not just a hometown bias.

I've always been a Penguins fan since Battleship Kelly in the 70's, who played for both (best nickname ever by the way). And my son was named after Jagr. The wife wouldn't let me do Jaromir, which was fine, but I had a workaround in mind and the boy's first 2 letters are JA and 1st two of the last name GR, so I got it in there.

Anyhow......I hated the Red Wings, still do. I didn't care for Colorado either, but loved Patrick Roy. So leaned toward Colorado very very slightly, but rooted for Detroit in the playoffs who ever they played against just so they could beat them and eventually face Colorado.

Just the most intense games ever, amazing talent on both sides, and the fights and bad blood were things of beauty.

Not to mention Bob "Probation" Probert playing on both the Wings and the Hawks.

Ah, those were the days.

Sweet Wallace Taz. Did you pick that up from Jim Stinson? I was considering the Wallace myself but went with the Kid Nichols instead (thanks Jim). My number also sits around #207 or #208 although its been slow going for me lately.

Yes, it was a Jim pickup (of course!). The Nichols is nice as well. Nearly every pickup now is a three digit investment, minimum.

You should post pictures of your collection, would love to see.

You say now it is a 3 digit investment minimum.....wait until it becomes a 4 and 5 digit ( not counting decimal points) investment. Separate checking accounts and a fellow collector as your banker will help!!!
Good luck with your collecting. I am down to needing 16 signatures to complete the HoF collection. I started 25 years ago and it has gotten harder and more expensive. And yes I also buy from Jim .

I don't think I appreciate how rare some of those signatures are. Very cool Joe Jackson license.

Do you guys look for autos on specific items or just anything signed by a HOF?

Depends. The tough guys, you get what you can get. Most people are more picky when it comes to the easier guys, balls, GPC, index, etc.

I will go for just about anything on the tough ones with hopes of getting a nicer piece down the road and selling the first.
