Stolen card shows up on Ebay
Posted By: Chris Mc
I sold a card to a guy located in the Bronx. He says he never received the card. After two weeks I refund the money because I stated the shipping included insurance. For kicks and giggles I try the search and low and behold a Guy in Great Neck Long Island is selling the card. I live on Eastern Long Island, How do I go about getting my card back? Here is the auction; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220200332960&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=012 |

You might try getting the seller's info thru Ebay, call him 1st to get his side of the story. If he doesn't give satisfactory info, call the Police Dept in Great Neck.. |

I received an email from the guy I sold the card to. He said this is the third time this has happened. I emailed him back to tell him that I found the card back on Ebay and he said good catch, please keep him advised. His feedback is 100% over 700 transactions. I guess anything is possible. |

If you mailed it in Long Island and it ended up in the hands of someone in Long Island there is the possibility that someone in the post office took it. If you can find out the name of the seller you should be able to find out if he is a postal employee. If he is then the postal service might launch their own investigation. |

I'd notify the post master in my local area and the post master in the area where the card was sent. This is going to be really interesting. |

you would think that the thief would be smart enough to take the card out of the slab? unless the seller IS an innocent victim. |

Do you have the auction item number from when you sold the card? If so, can you provide that number? |

The seller who has the card now left me his phone number. I called and it went to voice mail. I left a message that was to the point. Well see what happens. The link to the card I sold: http://tinyurl.com/3eyfl5 |

Let me tell you bozos something, being a major player in a law firm is meaningless! There is a lawyer that steals cards and has absolutely NO NEED for the money! He is loaded but has a sickness to steal. Roger Burns may know who I am talking about. |

Chris- I am an attorney and live in Great Neck. Read this board all the time but never post - always wondered what would finally motivate me. If you need any local help just reach out- I'll go by the house and pick up your card (if it's actually the right house)! |

Without going into too many details the situation will work out fine. I spoke with the seller at length and have every reason to believe that he is on the up and up. I would like to see the personel information edited as they are not the party responsible. I wish I could go into further detail but it would tip the hat so to speak. Thanks, Chris |
