Just picked this one up. I would guess it's from the 1920's. Has anyone ever seen another. Appears to have been a tag on shoes; luckily the string was cut as there is no tear near the hole. Card could be exchanged for a booklet titled "Home Runs". Measures 2" x 2 5/8".

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks,
David

Looks like it was a tag that hung on a shoe from what the back says. Very neat piece, but I'm guessing it's from the 30s.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming --- WOW, What a ride!

It looks like a tag to me. Not unlike the one Frank has from Kroger. We can definitely get into the whole debate about what constitutes a "card" on this one. A lot of folks think "tags" that aren't series, and only might have 1 style, shouldn't be considered cards but are tags. There probably wasn't a "set" of different ones as there's no number on it and nothing to lead us to believe there are more. Just my opinion and I could definitely be wrong....still a cool card/tag either way......breast regards

I'm not clear on the year either. I will be selling it; most likely on eBay later in the week.

Thanks for the input to all.

For Christmas, I got some Rosenwasser Bros. pants that didn't fit, but couldn't return them to the store as I lost the tag.

(p.s., I'd gues 1920s)

and someone said they thought the hole was a punch-mark for redemption of some prize. Was that a different Ruth we were discussing?

But I agree - looks like a clothing tag.
