Great looking, Mays, Dave.

Wish I had more centered copies I could share, but I don't, without stretching the parameters even further of what I have already posted.

Very nice cards, all. That Mantle looks great, so does the Mays card. And I've been trying to find a Schoendienst as nice that for years, now I see it can be done.

Tom S and Sean, it's always a pleasure to see highlights from your collections.

Default 52 - 48 is the best I could do in this set .

..This Hank Sauer might be 50 / 50 both ways ?? -- Old Beckett graders hammered the final grade down because they considered early cardboard to have eight corners instead of 4 , and took a magnifying glass to new depths of pain and punishment.

Great looking cards, guys. The Ritchie Ashburn, as Adam pointed out sometime ago, is a rather tough one for sure. Centered copies, if you can find them, definitely sell for a premium. I upgraded mine with this one as the price was right and I ran out of patience trying to find a more centered copy.

My Hank Sauer, (Posted earlier) although not as perfectly centered as Mike's also looks like it might have been graded on the harsh side as well, but the corners are definitely not pointy.

Bumping this thread with my most recent 52T acquisition. It was an eBay BuyItNow listing and I must have been one of the first to see it...I couldn't hit the BIN button fast enough.

A few recent additions that just arrived today.
Been looking for a long time for a Nippy Jones and a Granny Hamner. Both tough cards, in my opinion, to find centered. These aren't perfect but they're certainly better centered than most I've seen.
Matt Batts is is just upgrade as my old copy has some paper loss on the back. Thought I'd post it anyways due to the decent centering.

Nice card, Billy.
I was watching this one a while ago, which might have been the best centered copy I ever saw?
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/326166831925

I remember back when I joined the site in 2016, some were commenting on my copy and how well it was centered. I didn't know squat back then about such things but based on what I've learned since, my copy, although certainly not centered, isn't too bad comparitively.

Thanks Irv!! I am all about the centered 52 cards. Nothing prettier than a centered 52. I’m about 65% finished with my set.

Great cards all and thanks for sharing. Nice to know that some numbers actually DO exist centered!

Not all perfect but here are a few names from my 1-310 run that I think are better centered than most copies out there ...

Yes, you certainly have a point there, Billy.

I know it's not perfect top-bottom, but it's a Herman freaking Wehmeier with great left-right centering. This is about as close as you can get for this card.

Is that a recent pick up, Sean?
One just like it, (if not the same one?) ended a week or 2 ago that I had my eye on but knew it would go for a handsome price.
Surprised, after the fact, however, it didn't go for more.

Congrats if you're the lucky winner.

It's probably the same card, I just bought it two weeks ago. Someone broke a set, and there were two Wehmeiers. I got what I think was the better of the two copies

Yep, those were them.
Glad to read/see you were the lucky winner, Sean.
Great looking card.

Nice cards, again, Al and Tom.
It's not too often (if ever?) that I've saw 2 great looking, centered, Wehmeir's back to back.

I don't think we have a Jackie yet. A little high right, but not bad.

Not as nice of a copy as yours, Sean, but still glad I was able to snag it.

Interesting! I didn't care about centering as a kid (when most of us were much smarter), so I still care not a whit about centering so long as a card isn't actually miscut (worse than 99/1). Centering seems to be more of a focus for American collectors overall than for Canadian collectors.

Nonetheless I'm delighted that so many of you other collectors have a keen interest in centering. It reduces the demand for well off center cards thus making off center cards available for me at cheaper prices!

Note how the eye is immediately drawn to the razor-sharp lower left corner .

Thanks, Sean.

It has some wrinkling in the lower left which can be seen on the right in the back scan but it's not too bad and is real hard to see on the front.
I got it amazingly cheap, imo, (likely due to the wrinkling) but still surprised, tbh, I got it regardless.

Here's my Jackie. It looks like it got rubbed on a sidewalk. And I say this from experience; not with this particular card, but I remember dropping cards when I was a kid and then sliding them across the pavement while trying to pick them back up.

I remember doing the same thing with hockey cards.
At school, we also played "scramble" where some kid would just toss a bunch of cards into the air and the rest of us would try and grab as many as we could. The majority of the time it was done on asphalt too.

I think you guys will appreciate this one. They're not all perfect 50-50, but they're all damn near impossible to find.
