This is perhaps the coolest style uniform the Red Sox ever sported, with the giant Red Sock residing on the chest. Many famous images of Cy Young wearing this exact style...

Jersey features beautiful embroidery and workmanship with no manufacturer tags evident. Just a marvelous display piece, or it could be worn if so desired. Looks like a Men's Large or XL, but I purchased it for display purposes.

Great idea Scott! I'll try to track down the Marino Family, who I'm sure can assist with that. Old Cy didn't have the prettiest signature, but it sure would've looked good on this jersey.

Agree.... so many interesting and artistic styles from the early days/deadball era.

The 1916 NY Giants Plaid Uniform is one of my favorites, as is this 1908 Red Sox version with the giant red sock. Both only lasted one season however, as the Red Sox reverted back to the plain and no-frills "BOSTON" across the chest in 1909 (link below...)
