i say january 1st,2003.....first we send out ballots to all the regular contributors to the board, then we hold a press conference to announce the new inductees, then we have a hall of fame weekend, saturday meet and greet the cards, sunday the annual baseball card hallof fame game, and then monday the hall of fame induction ceremonies where we have speeches by the relatives of the players represented on the cards, unless gus suhr, billy rogell, ray hayworth, mel harder or al lopez are the ones inducted in because theyre the only ones still alive.
Or we could just do it whenever everyone else wants without all of the hoopla listed above

It's my site, so I get to put up whatever I want :-p Just be glad I am not putting all my Banana Splits stuff up there

As for the black, that will decrease as more cards are added.

As for backs, I can live without them since the picture on teh card seems to be the main criteria. I am more than willing to put them up if I am provided with the scans

please let me know. I submitted my site with all the major search engines many moons ago, and it can't be found by any of them.

"submitting" to search engines can be 100% fruitless. instead, do everything you can to get people to link to it. links on this page, actually, seem to help in a few major engines. With time, more engines will discover your page through more and more links, and the more times it does, the better your page will do showing up on an engine. A few other seriously amateur tips: if you are using "h1", "h2" tags, etc., make sure you've got your key words (vintage baseball cards, T206, etc.) in those, because some engines treat "h1" tags and the like the way others (used to?) treat "meta" tags. (if you're shaky on html, note that the quotation marks in the preceding paragraph would, in html code, be "<" and ">", but if I type them that way, N54 tries to format my message!)

i'm not an expert, but i've had a few webpages over the years, and most of them have gotten pretty high in rankings for various key words. it can, however, take a while.

Haven't submitted the site to search engines yet. I used to use Site Wolf to submit, but have not downloaded it for this computer. YOu canlook at the source code, I have the metatag covered pretty well on each page. That was one of the first thigns I learned about writing code, write a good metatag.

Some of the web crawlers look strictly at metatags, others the first written paragraph of the site to determine search data, so hopefully I covered both pretty well. A lot of crawlers have gotten away from searching metatags becuase the porn sites and other 'bad' sites list every celebrity, sports star, etc to get search hits for thier sites even though it has nothing to do with their site.

my name is Julie, and I've been wrecking havoc on this Forum for 6-7 months now, with no other female assistance.

Main interests, 19th century, dead ball era 20th century cards and photos. Also some modern stuff, especially blacl players--there haviong been a total of two during the periods above mentioned. Maybe three.

If you click on anyone who posts whose name is in blue, you will automatically get their email address and an email form.

Gotta go open a very important FedEx!

Welcome aboard!
