This antique German baseball Christmas ornament closed this afternoon on eBay for $105.00...I got outbid....I don't know if I've ever seen one of these before...looks pretty fragile...The listing said it was 1940's but looks older...For a nick knack I think it's pretty cool....of course I'm into figural items though....It was only listed under one catagory: Christmas: Vintage (Pre-1946) > Ornaments...but I sensed it could be a problem since the ornament collectors would see it...sure enough I didn't get it...I guess if it's only from the 40's $105.00 could be about right...but if it was from the turn of the century or earlier...It could be worth pretty good dough I would think...Particularly if two competing baseball collector bidders were willing to shell out for a nick knack...

That was a cool piece. It would definitely have an appeal to both sports and xmas collectors..German xmas ornaments have a top notch reputation for quality workmanship and design.
