*BUMP* as it is nearing closing day May 21st. (EDITED)
As a person with invested interest, I hope things pick up on the last day.
I have had a wonderful time with Lee here, He was easy to speak with and adjust things right away and worked with my best interest.

Pretty sure the auction ends May 21, both for those with invested interests and for those without.

Peter, hopefully you will have recovered from your usual Victoria Day revelry and high jinx in time to place a few bids.

mais bien sûr. Well wishes to our friends North of the Border. To be polite, I will refrain from asking which US team will be hoisting Lord Stanley's Cup this year. (I also sincerely hope that MLB finds a way to get a team back in Montreal, a wonderful city.)

I was winning most of the Mantles, Clemente, umong others until extra bidding time. Ended up with E90 Young, 58 Aaron, and 59 Mantle. Picked up a few others in the JVSC auction.

I know it's not pre-war, but cool complete impulse buy (to me anyway ) as there were no bids going into extended time. I love the look of the 1974 action shots and this strip had two really cool ones. Plus, you can't beat the sweatband over baseball cap look!!

Was a winner three hours into bonus time, but ended up a loser. Hope to do better in next auction. Great auction by Lee again.

Had my heart broken on the Hoshi Gangu Oh.. I waited up an extra 2 hours to get my last bid in and it was good for about an hour until someone upped me at about 3am. Woke up tired and bummed. Oh well, next time. Still a fun auction to bid.

Why did the T206 Bowerman PSA5 Sovereign 150 go so high? Bidding war, tough back, or am I missing something?

I was surprised the Hal Chase blue Sov. 460 didn't go for much more considering that's a really rare super print back.

That's what I was wondering too. I went I bed the high bidder at $100. Woke up at 1:00 to a crying toddler and saw the card was $400. Wow.

Luke,

Thats awesome

It fits quite nicely with my other miscuts. I won 5 other t206s too - possibly some of yours? Killian (MC), Manning, Marshall, Shaw and Starr.

Hope you're well

Martin

i picked up an E90-3 Mordecai Brown with a great front and a bad back. Went for a bit more than I was hoping but I loved the coloring (which is odd because it is basically a light brown background) and the pose.

Ken,
Congrats on the Mordecai. I was watching that one.
I got 5 T205s and was bidding on several more but once again proved that those SPs are going to be very elusive.

Yeah, I've been great, hope you have as well. None of those were mine, but all are great cards. There were a lot of really nice mid-grade t206 commons. It was a fun one. Sending you a PM.

Really wanted the E93 Joss, but was outbid late in the evening. Someone scored a beautiful card!

Ended up grabbing 15 lots, mostly low-end T's and E's, including these:

Another nice auction by Lee. I won my very first T206. I am a low budget collector so I am thrilled to own a 1 that presents as nice as this.
