Default Never Get Cheated on BST - The BLDPC introduced

You have an item that you want to sell that is obviously authentic but the interested purchaser wants it authenticated. You obviously have difficulty agreeing on a purchase price. Pull out this contract to solve your dilemma.

The BST Layaway for Deferred Purchase Contract

Whereas the party of the first part, the seller, has offered ______ rare item X _____ for sale on BST as is, and

Whereas the party of the second part, the purchaser, has offered $_________ for said item, but wants seller to authenticate said item, and

Whereas the cost of authentication is uncertain and a delivery date becomes the whim of the authenticator, the party of the third part, the agreed upon purchase price requires further negotiation, and

Whereas the party of the first part is savvy and suggests using the BLDPC to finalize the deferred deal, the following conditions obtain for both the party of the first part and the party of the second part.

1. The party of the first part agrees to the ultimate sale to the the party of the second part.

2. For this consideration the party of the second part agrees to pay the party of the first part the fees in total billed for said authentication.

3. The item will be sent to PSA, the party of the third part, for authentication.

4. If the item is not authenticated and the party of the second part backs out of the deal, the party of the first part will refund 50% of the fees paid by the party of the second part. If the item is authenticated the party of the second part remains responsible for 100% of the authentication expenses.

4. If PSA takes longer than 3 months to authenticate the item, the current value of the item must be re-established.

5. An expert panel of three board members (the party of the fourth part, the party of the fifth part and the party of the sixth part) will collaborate to establish the new market value of the rare item X.

6. If the panel requires that rare item X must be examined in person to establish a current value, the party of the second part will be responsible for all costs of postage, travel, food and lodging and other related expenses incurred by parties of the fourth, fifth and sixth part.

7. If the party of the first part does not survive until the deal is completed, his will or trust will supersede the stipulations of this contract.

8. If the party of the second part does not survive until the deal is completed, the deal is void, but no refund of expenses incurred by the party of the second part will be refunded.

9. The parties of the fourth, fifth and sixth parts, if utilized, shall be compensated by both the parties of the first and second part at no less than the minimum wage for their time spent evaluating the current value of rare item X.

10. Tax related issues to anything mentioned in 1-9 above shall be mediated by Bob C.

[If you are concerned about the length of this contract, fear not, Bob C will embellish it.]

Proposed amendments to this document must be ratified by 51% of the registered active attorneys on the Net54 Board (parties of the seventh to the one hundred and eighty-third parts).

Moderators of Net54 are not culpable for any malfeasance occurring as a result of utilizing the BLDPC. The doctrine of Eleanor of Arborea* shall be enforced without prejudice.

*as stipulated in the Carta de Logu.

Here's a simpler version:

"No, all sales are as-is, where-is. If you want an item in a PSA slab, buy one. Have a nice day. Bye-bye now."

Somebody is already formulating the phrase "Class Action Lawsuit" in their heads.

Mailers will soon be sent out and aggrieved parties (all of Net54) will have the option to opt out of said lawsuit in order to free them up for a crack at an individual lawsuit.

For those who don't want to do the legwork, a $10 off coupon for the Denny's Flap Jack special, hangs in the balance. Lawyers cut may include 5 of Leon's favorite type cards and his lucky quarter.

Any addendum to the contract should include a 'Schrödinger's Cat' scenario.

Default Frank’s Party

There doesn’t seem to be much enjoyment going on at Franks Party despite all the partygoers.

Like it’s been said…if you you remember it, you weren’t there!
