Default E135 Collins McCarthy - Unknown Player?

Posted By: Mark

Jimmy Lavender played for Chicago Cubs from '12 to '16 then with Phila NL in '17, he never played for the Chicago Whales of the Fed Lg - which he is pictured in uniform on the E135 set.

Can anyone out there name him?

Or is it possible that he wore the FL uniform during spring training in '16.
Seems possible, but unlikely as he was an established starting pitcher.

Thanks for any help,

Mark

it looks a lot like Claude Hendrix. Those of you who specialize in those who were banned should be able to tell.

Thanks Mark for the feedback.

Interestingly enough, Hendrix is already part of the set.

I agree that the player pictured on the Lavender card does resemble Hendrix.

I believe that Hendrix is also pictured in his Chicago Whales uniform
in the E121/122/220 sets, although those particular sets were produced after
the Fed. Lg. was broken up.
