Quite possibly my favorite eBay pickup ever.

From Henry Yee...
A 1910 Oldsmobile Photo Premium Ty Cobb (5" x 7")

Looks incredible in person.

Nice photo Joe. I'm kicking myself for not bidding on it the first time it was on ebay about 4-5 months ago.

PS. You don't want to know what it went for the first time.

I seem to overpay from time to time.

Not a good strategy, I know.

But, I can say - this photo looks amazing in person.

Much nicer than I thought it would.

So, I can't kick myself too much for the high bid... and probably would kick myself more if I would have let it go.

I don't necessarily think you overpaid for the photo. The first time it was listed it was by a seller who had no clue what they had, and was poorly listed. I don't remember how many bids it had, but Henry and I may have been the only people bidding on it. I should have put in a higher snipe.

SGC submission. I feel like Goldilocks - one higher than I thought, one lower and one just right.

Well not for me, but I won this inexpensive item to give a wonderful Doctor my wife works with. Also played varsity FB for the Crimson in the 70's.

T206king and Steve F.: Tried playing with my Brown to see if I could get the hand clearer. This is as good as it gets.

Peter and JimB,

When I first started collecting the 1933 Goudeys I thought I would ignore the Lajoie card, but then I got so close to finishing the whole set that I thought I might as well go for it. Whether it can really be considered part of the 1933 set or not, it certainly is one of the classic cards of the hobby, so I am happy to have one.

Regards,
Eric

My Christmas present to myself -- a D327 Holsum Bread Eddie Cicotte. It looks like an E121 American Caramel, but he's not in that set.
