Default E121 Cobb

Love the image (especially since I can't swing a CJ) and think this one's a bit under the radar.

Default The long and the short of it..

...I needed balance so I found this postage-stamp-sized little card as a bookend ; I have close to a half dozen of these mini-cards by now but my heart and focus remain with the "big stuff" from '29 to '39...like the Burke 4 x 6..Berg does not have a lot of issues out there...it would be an easy Master Set ?

The T227 Cobb is from a fellow board member. The Holsum Bread Cobb (a true of 1 of 1) cost me a 1948 Leaf Jackie Robinson, and it and Mr. Speaker have not yet come in the mail, but my cards are in transit, so.... The two Matty's are, well, awesome (the portrait from a Board Member). Busy end of the year. I really must stop looking at Net54 and Ebay

way to finish down the stretch! No wonder the guy "with the two Ruth rookies" reached out to you directly! Can't wait to see what you bring in in 2018!

Found a halftone colorized postcard of a locally historic ballgame played in 1908 when Cap Anson's Colts semi-pro team barnstormed the local town team (Marengo IL). I have a RPPC of the game, and knew of 2 other RPPC's from the game in the local history museum. This halftone card, based on the photo of one of the RPPC, was a new discovery to me. It was produced by the E.C. Kropp Co. of Milwaukee, while the RPPC were done by the Creators company of Elgin, IL. Cap Anson played 1st base in the game.

Other known Creators RPPC from same game

Just an 'art' card (which don't get much respect on this forum), but I do like it as a card that never was:

1930 R319 Whitlow Wyatt (created from a picture I had not seen) - very few pics in his Detroit Uni.

Here's a good story ....

I had piggy backed two T206s with Luke L. for PSA grading ..... He gets them graded, and sends them to me ............. However, there is a third card in the package ............. totally unexpected ........... one of the last 6 (now 5) mid-tier backs I needed for set (and it's a tough one) .....

conroyOM.jpg

............. Anyone who has dealt with Luke, knows he's an A1 Great guy, but this takes the cake !!!!!

Great, Scott

Default T205 Group Shot

Picked up quite a few new T205s over the last couple of months, and liberated them from their slabs this evening. I had the tougher Peaches Graham Cub version already, and added both of the Rustlers' versions within days of one another. Have both Blue and Black signature variations now.

Default T207 misfits from Late Nov, Dec

Two more T207 miscuts. The first from REA - and why alcohol and auctions are not a good thing - though no remorse. Second from eBay.

Second image also from a different scanner - my PSC2100 has finally kicked the bucket, it looks like. Time for a new scanner.

Gratz! And gratz especially on the Reulbach. I had it in my cart and was hoping it would be available after my bonus came in. But I'm glad it went to a Net54 member!

Now I have two T215 Pirates! Traded a Clemente RC PSA 6, a Walter payton RC PSA 8.5 and a bit of cash. Would rather have this rare baby any day over the cards I traded.
