Default Another New eBay Headache?

I just clicked on one of my pre-set searches to do my morning eBay scroll. At the bottom of the first screen of results was a banner ad for PWCC. It, at first, made me think that there was only 5 listings coming up under that search. A quick look determined that there was the usual 6000+ listings with the first advertisement placed IN the search results that I have ever seen.

Edited to Add: It appears that there is one banner advert per page of 200 listings. Me no like!

No way...let me check my saved searches.

Well, here's the first of my saved searches, Mike. I have it set to show 200 results per page.

("t206","t-206") ("baker","beckley","bender","bresnahan","chance") -topps -rp -reprint -reprints -postcard -"post card" -etopps

No such banner ad for me. I get one for Trinity University, but at the bottom of the page, as usual. No banner ad within the search result itself.

Maybe clear your cookies, then log back in to Ebay and run the search again.

I am not sure if it is something new, Bill, but it is there for me after clearing the cache. Perhaps it is a test, not hitting all areas yet? This link takes me to the search WITH the banner ad.

Desiderata

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Strive to be happy.

I see the link as well, too, especially if I click any of the "pre-set" Shop Pre-War auctions links at the top of this page… I too, thought it only had 5-6 listings until I continued to scroll.

Another "bad" feature on eBay now. I still buy on eBay from time-to-time, but man, my selling days have been over for some time.

Well, I just tried your saved search link, and again, I'm not seeing any banner ad. I thought for just a fleeting second that this could have something to do with the fact that my laptop is still running XP (haven't found a new one I like yet!)

But then, I just ran a search for Hank Aaron Topps baseball cards, and this is what I saw scrolling through the results:

I think you're right, they're rolling this out.

I'm getting really sick of Ebay. I really am.

Sean, that's awesome. I can't wait. Ebay has gotten a little too big for their britches.

Lookie lookie here. It was a PWCC ad, it just wasn't showing the cards the first time.

Joy.

Now this morning, for some reason, my prefab scroll comes up without the PWCC in search banner ad.

Sean

That's very ambitious. Good luck.
