The scan looks a little deep in contrast but I'm awfully concerned about the potential trim. The seller claims that it's not. However, his feedback is far from great and I can't imagine why he wouldn't grade

doesn't this tell you everything you really need to know!
Do you see T-bob,Parks,or anyone else you know on here as a bidder?

And Anson-look at the BOTTOM of the card, not the top.....do you see what I see? I'll bet Eliott and John who bid on these often see it!

Brian, my monitor doesn't have very good resolution so I couldn't really make out the bottom edge. The top looked trimmed to me, though.

Peter already emailed me with the same assessment. I didn't even check to see if it was getting shilled, simply because it looked chopped.

Good points

the card is clearly trimmed. all grading companies will agree leaving the buyer with a lump of coal. Stay clear of this one

Card looks like it is probably trimmed. Since it is not graded be safe and stay away from this one.

re-read my first response. It's not an implication of shilling but an assesment of who is and is not bidding on it. Do you recognize any of the bidders?

And the BOTTOM border is trimmed to accent the top and distract.

Brian, I did understand your point. I do gauge the validity of many auctions by the folks who bid on them. But, in most cases, I trust my own judgement too. This particular card did not show up well on my screen. I have an old monitor that really needs to be replaced.

I miss Fry's. There is nothing comperable anywhere in MN. The place is create for computer components and electronics in general. They also had the best selection of DVDs anywhere.

Not to hijack an already hijacked thread - but I went into a Fry's once. Saw 100 sales people - but only one person at the "returns" counter. Immediately walked out.

Trimmed! seller obviously isnt a grader (and doesnt pretend to be) but he is obviously a dealer/collector and knows about grading companies. he would and did expect it to receive a " 5 " but it came back trimmed. that's why he doesnt offer a refund anywhere...

the bonus' he offers are a (legal?) scam to get unsuspecting bidders to raise the bid to help re-coop his loss...for someone who doesnt care whether its trimmed or not fine, but not me at that price
