Default What kind of back is this?

Posted By: Seth B.

Now that this auction is over (I didn't win it), what kind of back is this Cobb? Looks like a reprint front may have been stuck onto something old, but I can't figure out what.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&item=220019119317&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Thanks,

Seth

I looked at that auction too. I thought it was a fake because the bottom right corner is ripped off the front but not the back. Maybe another non sport back was glued on? I couldnt tell what kind of back it had though?

Chris- scrollwork on the corners is right for a cycle, but the writing is not ("All Tobacco, No paper, Not a cigarette...160 designs"). I have no idea what it is, got to agree with Joe that it's probably non-sport.

Hi Seth,
It's a T59 flags of all nations back. They were inserted into many different brands, but Sub Rosa, Puritan, and Big Run backs all have the same printing as the EBAY card. Be well Brian

Awesome. I was going to post the same question here last night, but wound up emailing Zach about it instead, figuring he would know.

I beleive this is the same seller that was naru'd several months ago -for selling counterfeits. Similar itemsand photo's with vague disclaimers.

That seller is a scam artist, they have listed bad auction for a while on eBay. The card looks like an authentic back on a reprint front. Ive seen a few auctions from this seller with tobacco boxes/cans full of low value nonsports cards and a couple high valued reprints mixed in, so it looks like a great deal. Most of his auctions are private, Im not sure why he didnt make this one private.
