When I was very young I subscibed to a publication called the Sport Hobbyist.
I believe it was published by Frank Nagy. I remember there seemed to be some
kind of reprint cards for the T-206 Honus Wagner and I believe others also.
Does anyone have any information on this publication and these cards?

We are fortunate to have a large collection of early bobby publications
dating back to the 1930's. Most of the publications in our collection
were a gift from our old friend, Lionel Carter.

Carter, along with hobby legends, Preston Orem, Gene Angeley, Bob Thing
Wirt Gammon and Buck Barker were regular contributors to the Sports Hobbyist.
The magazine was published six times a year between 1957 and 1962.

L.A. Isenberg was the original editor and that position was later assumed
by Charlie Brooks. We do find any issue where Frank Nagy is listed as
the publisher

Earlier this year we shared a rare article Barker article on the Delong Set.

Here are some other thought provoking articles from hobby pioneers

Honus and Tobacco- Buck Barker February March 1959
Early Cigarette Card- Preston Orem February March 1959
Hot Dog Cards Buck Barker Sept-October 1959
Condition As I See It Lionel Carter March-April 1960
Tarzan Bread Checklist Frank Nagy May-June 1962

"Sports Hobbyist. The magazine was published six times a year between 1957 and 1962."

It was also published in the early/mid 70's, at least a magazine by the same name.
