Default Speaking of card doctoring...

I purchased this fairly mangled T206 common purely to examine it further. Is there any legitimate reason that someone would have applied a Piedmont back to this card? Wouldn't they have tried to remove the Sweet Caporal back first? My assumption is that this card was practice card for a card doctor in training at some point in its existence.

Comments?

Default not doctoring

I saw some similar ones on ebay recently. I assume that it's two cards glued together that someone tried to remove. I'd soak it to see if you can see the Piedy player...

That's a good suggestion. I hadn't considered that possibility. My suspicion is that there are not two whole cards present though. It is difficult to tell from the picture, but if you look at the inferior aspect of the "d" in Piedmont, you can see how thin the Piedmont layer is.

There was a nice OM with a partial SC back perfectly aligned...looked neat. It does appear to only be the back portion, wonder if they wanted to have the SC backs for a set, I've seen several where someone's written over the 150 series to make it 350.

Writing 350 to make it a 350 series card? That's just moronic. I might as well write Drum over my Sweet Cap and call it a day.
