Default John Villa

Good afternoon all I recently made a purchase from a member from this forum named John Villa, he goes by "nameless." I bought a N28 Ward from him pictured below. He sent it pretty fast but he had some delays in shipping (only a 2 day delay). As I was waiting for him to ship the card, I pulled an old thread from November 2010 they talked about him possibly ripping off another member on a PSA 3 Babe Ruth. In the thread it said he disappeared and did not return emails. The thread went dead without any further update to see if it got resolved or not. Now I do realize that I should have done this digging before my purchase, but I saw no need at the time because I did a quick search and saw he had a history of selling things. Anyway because I read this thread it got me really paranoid and he him not being able to answer my emails for a day or two made me even more paranoid. I proceeded to email him harshly and accuse him of possibly ripping me off. It turned out his computer crashed and he shipped it right away. I felt terrible laying into this guy. I did jump the gun too much, I know, but it would have helped if this thread was updated. He told me why he was not able to answer that other member's emails in November of 2010.
I started a thread on this to show the importance of updating a situation like this so other members don't think less of another member trying to make sales. I do not know for sure if that situation was resolved in Nov 2010, but my transaction was smooth besides me acting like a jackass.

This link is the link to the old thread that led me to believe I might get ripped off: http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...ght=john+villa

Thanks again Zach! What happened with CY was unfortunate. I got into a life changing accident which left me unable to do much of anything for a period of time. Luckily I made a 100% recovery and some. Again this board is great and I really wish CY would clear that thread. My family ended up sending him back his money orders so no one lost anything. In fact I ended up selling the Ruth in 2011 on this board. This is the only shaky transaction in my ebay and net54 history. Oh well, drunk drivers really do suck huh?
Sincerely,
-John Villa
