I'll be bringing enough money to buy any of the cards that I really want... and my girlfriend, who'll make sure I don't spend any of it.

It should make for a stressful four days.

I am bringing some cubs photo packs that were team issued from the 1930’s and 1940’s. Mainly because I don’t want to ship them.
Oh….and my buddy and his son who have never been to a National

Default What Will You Bring To The National?

A beat up 2002 Ford Focus. It may not make the entire trip. The last time I tried this stunt was the March 2, 2014 outdoor game between the Penguins and Blackhawks. My car died on the overpass outside my mother's hometown in Ohio on the way back 3/10 of a mile from the toll booth, which I could see from the overpass. I spent three days in the town. Bored.

OK, I'll bite. I can't wait.

I will be bringing a host of material that will be featured in the summer LOTG auction, which will close the weekend after the national. With me, I'll have (among other things) a few GORGEOUS higher-grade N173 HOFer cabinets (King Kelly, Cap Anson and John Clarkson), a Famous & Barr Babe Ruth, a PSA 5 1952 Topps Mantle, and a beautiful 1929-31 Lou Gehrig game-used bat, among other things.

I'll also have catalogs there for anyone who doesn't get one in the mail.

Rare boxing cards for sale or trade. Currently looking to bring:

--Type cards: 1938 NX5 American Sweets, W-unc. issues, Latin American issues [1931 Bigott, Romeo y Julieta, E. Quintana, etc.],
--High grade and/or rare variation T and E cards
--PSA slabbed tickets
--Possibly a few uncut pieces
--Possibly a cabinet or two; they are a PITA to lug in those placemat-sized holders.
--Postcards
--Exhibit cards [of course]

I will have a showcase on a table there so if you see a case of boxing cards like the ones listed on an otherwise non-boxing table, odds are it is mine.

If anyone is looking for anything specific LMK.

Once again, I will only bring my spirit, as my body will be chained here to my desk at work. I will be watching for a thread where all you lucky dogs post pictures of all the cool stuff I am missing. When are they ever bringing the National west again?

Default Passing on the National

Passing again on the National this year.

Have not been since the last Baltimore National.

I am looking forward to making a run on several of the items from the Leon Luckey Collection.

Default Cash

Cash for a T227 Cobb, E95 Cobb, or E98s that I need and a 10 and 13 year old with a passion for the new shiny stuff. Will be our third national and I couldn't be more excited.

My daughter, wife and I thank you. My collection will be there it just won't be at my table.

Scott, I and Richard (and Jay if he makes it) will have a lot of pre-war at our table.. I actually have several "tubs" of stuff I have to go through. "Tubs" is what happens when you are an addict.

I have the same issue - tubs of stuff. So I'm going full flea market at booth #258 this year giving away a few hundred back issues of VCBC. I'll also jamb my booth full of vintage books, gloves, bats, tobacco boxes... I am in the process of downsizing from a house to a condo and everything must go. Seriously - free VCBC to anyone that stops by, two if you watch my booth while I use the bathroom.

Pete, I didn't plan on going but if you are into sharing I can bring a few bags of grass, some liquid mescaline and a salt shaker full of crystal meth to add to the selection.

It's probably just too early for many of the National booth holders to discuss what they will be bringing to the National. Last year when I did that, I received over 50 e-mails from collectors and made some great new friends.

This year, I will be bringing my newest acquisitions, a lot of which precedes 1950, and most are pre 1930 and are on advanced collector lists. I really can't tell you more as I promised Leon last year that I would not send out a list like I did last year. Also, if you are looking for graded cards, I primarily sell non graded cards.

What I can do is give you my booth number (1110P) which is six spots in the door. I will do my best to make your trip to Chicago worthwhile. Also, I promise to list some of my new to the Hobby items on the buy, sell and trade boards in a few weeks, once I have everything organized and priced and ready to go.

Either way, stop by and say hello. Even if it is not to buy or sell me something.

Best regards,

Steve Sabow

As a passionate collector myself, it is never ever my intention to hinder collectors in their pursuits. There are 30-40 companies that pay to advertise on our board monthly. Do you think it would be fair to them to allow people doing this for a profit (which I am fine with, btw) to advertise for free? There is always room for another advertiser if interested. And that all being said, I have never stopped anyone (that I remember) from posting almost anything they want to on the Ebay and other Auctions section of the BST. Thanks for your understanding.

65,000 Hockey Autographs including over 4,500 HoF + Deceased (OPC Gretzky RC Signed, Lindbergh, only known 72 Summit Series complete), this is a Pedigreed collection and fresh to market...

15,000 1950's Topps including a 52 Set minus Mantle, over 2,000 Hall of Famers both raw & PSA graded anywhere from 3 to 9

150,000+? 1950's-70's collector grade Stars, HoF, Commons, SP's, Hi#'s

Who knows what else I will have... I am sure I will do some buying in between now and then.

Invest In Baseball + All Staff will be 3 Rows in @ 806P (Unless something changes)

and to add, my request not to spam the board didn't include this particular thread. A synopsis of what dealers are bringing is great for this thread. Of course it is fine to say what you are bringing to the national. It isn't ok to spam the whole board in different places.
