Default 1916 Champions C.F.S pendant info

I picked this up some time ago but never got around to looking into where it originated. Anybody have info concerning it's history, on one side of the ball it says 1916 champions and the other side C.F.S, on the bottom there is the Spalding logo?

I was thinking Cal State Fullerton, but they didn't exist until the 60's.

Loved that reply, as Fullerton is my Alma Mater (and I was wishfully thinking the same!) But no way it's them...

Wish I could help more, but am coming up blank. Could the "C.S.F." letters simply be the initials of the recipient? Beautiful Fob, nonetheless...
