As I am a big fan of the unique T206's I was hoping some members could post up some pics of the errors/miscuts/color variants/ghost images of the T206 cards they have....
Thanks

I own about 30 odd T206s, but this is one of my favorites.

That's interesting because 'registration' has an entirely different definition with cards. As I've heard and used, 'registration' is used to describe the alignment of the various ink layers.

I think the backs were misprinted (due to poor sheet alignment), they can be off top/bottom, side-to-side, both or upside down.

All just slight miscuts showing two names or two backs:

I also have the Bob Groom with an extra layer of magenta that makes it look completely different than any of its counter parts, but I have shown it enough.

Nice Mitchell; too bad about the crease, though. That was always one of my favorite cards in the T206 set.

That crease really is holding it back. It may be a good candidate for the "Our Friend The Crease" thread.

Adam, you are spot on saying the sky is the limit on these cards.

I personally don't have the liquid cash of $400K for the eBay Wags but I probably can scrounge up $8K - $20K for that 1/1 that you freaks have to sell.

I have to agree that I think these cards are only going to grow in popularity, going back to Johnny's well-coined term "the snowflakes" of T206. There's a certain something to having a card from the set that doesn't have another one that looks just like it.

I think in the future more T206 collectors will be seeking these out and probably paying big bucks for them (as they already are). When you talk about "rare" these are the cards I think of in the T206 set, aside from the Doyle N.Y., Plank, Magie, Wagner, etc.

Beautiful cards everyone....Wonka hits a grand slam (as usual )!!

Great thread everyone-

Sincerely, Clayton

Sometimes i can be a little dramatic, to get my point across. i think it was affective in this case. sheesh....and i thought i toned it back by not cursing.

If both of those things happened on the same day in the same city, what would be the headlining event in that little pre-news thingl?

Fill in the blank
________ story, Live at 11. Only on Fox News.

In all reality though, if there are roughly 7 percent of them with this mark. Surely, someone else on this board can produce one or even has one to sell right?

Nice one Martin... I'm pretty sure that's one I had slabbed LOOOOONG ago. It's changed hands a few times to a few different board members if memory serves me correct.

Thanks - I bought it from a board member about 2 months ago. Only just got around to scanning it on (working from home today - lol).

Just found a third fifth example, wonder if something was wrong with a plate on that location for the sheet.

It's very interesting. I wonder if it's some kind of part or something off
the press that stuck to the plate.
