Default On the other hand: Worst single game performance ever?

Posted By: Glenn

Andy Leonard: 6/14/1876

9 errors. No glove, but still.

Johnny Ryan: 7/22/1876

10 wild pitches.

Charlie Sweeney: 6/12/1886

Seven home runs allowed.

Aloysius Travers: 5/15/1912

26 hits, 24 runs, but a CG (so he's got that going for him...which is nice).

Glenn Beckert: 9/16/1972

0 for 6, stranded 12 baserunners, against a Mets team that gave up 18 runs that day.

Alex Gonzalez: 9/09/1998

0 for 6, 6 strikeouts (13 innings)

I know one day Joe Torre hit into 4 double plays. When asked about it he blames Felix Millan for getting 4 hits that day.

Larry Corcorans brother Mike who on July 15th,1884 gave up 16 hits,7 walks, threw 5 wild pitches but gave up just 4 earned runs,14 total runs.He also went 0-3 with a strikeout to back it up.It was his only career game, washed up at 23 years old.Guess he didnt learn anything by watching his brother who threw his 3rd no hitter less than 3 weeks prior
