I thought about how it would feel to lose $999.

Note that he ONLY accepts bank wire transfers!

"The Bag will be shipped once the payment is verified."

Nothing like a Louis Vuitton handbag with a Sweet Cap back!

Jodi, that was funny.

I'd hate for you to think that your humor is not consistently appreciated.

Jeff,

But how can you resist the urge to buy this card from the same guy???

http://cgi.ebay.com/1955-TOPPS-Sandy-Koufax-123-Rookie-Card-PSA-8-NM-MT_W0QQitemZ280256089807

He didn't even put "Jewish" in the listing!

Jodi,

I also, appreciate your sense of humor. You, truly, are up there with the sickest minds on this board.

You know that guy on TV who has developed and sells software to teach you how to sell on Ebay? I wonder if he's included a chapter on scamming so these jamokes can at least be a little convincing.

That '55 Topps Koufax auction is a carbon copy of this one:

Darn, and I was about to put my 55 Koufax PSA 8 on BIN for 6K (you know, so someone could make me an offer for the $4500 that it was worth).

And if only the seller would put "JEWISH" in the title of his Matty card; I might actually have pulled the trigger. I'm just a sucker for that stuff....

eBay is becoming like the Old West. No law and order. Every man for himself.

If it wasn't for the profit margin it has with Paypal it would be a sinking ship.

He're rooting for Amazon to knock the legs out from under eBay.

Didn't you know that Koufax's middle name is "Morton"? He has to be Jewish!!

Looks A LOT like this one that already sold (most likely to someone else)

Ebay took down the listings mentioned above, so I don't know if this is the same seller, but the shipping no longer covers the handbags:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1933-Goudey-Babe-Ruth-EXCELLENT_W0QQitemZ320287100695
http://cgi.ebay.com/1955-TOPPS-Sandy-Koufax-123-Rookie-Card-PSA-8-NM-MT_W0QQitemZ360079754120

I hope that's an account hijacking and not a power-seller gone bad.
