Default July Pickups

Just thought I would try to beat everyone to the punch on this. I just got scans done of a few awesome pickups from the last week or so. The CJ Blair and Nunamaker are 1914's. The two Peckinpaugh's and Janvrin are 1915's.

Thanks to board members for the Peckinpaugh CJ, T222 Chance, T206 Chase, T222 Maisel, '52 Bowman Mantle, and '52 Berk Ross Mantle.

The other four CJ's and '34 Goudey Gehrig are from a late night Ebay binge.

I am still looking for a T222 Keating, T200 NY Americans, any T206 Yankees/Americans, and any CJ 1914/1915 Yankees. If you can help let me know.

Happy to add a difficult E121-80 Type 3 to my HOF collection. (McGraw is not tough in this set but Type 3 is!)

Default A couple more T205s

Picked up these nice Oscar Stanage and Hick Cady T205s from Just Collect on eBay. Wanted the Hick Cady to complete my run of Minor League T205 catchers.
Now have two nice examples of Cady and McAllister from the Newark team.

LOL - we can officially add that to the list of benefits of slabbing cards .

Thanks for the nice words about the card...I like it a lot!

(BTW, real nice job on your LA cards site. I've spent quite a bit of time on there - your research is really interesting!)

Cheers,
Blair

Thanks Jeff and Dan -

Dan - The Cooper is definitely near the top of my want list, but I simply can't drop any more cash on these tough cards. I would make an exception (or two) for an extremely rare card (or a card that is very underpriced), but I'm hoping that the negro league collectibles market cools a little in the next few years before tackling any of those Billiken rookies.

1907 FP Burke - they only made this and the Chi national as they were the ws foes that year. I just love the emblem in the background and a very green Mr Cobb...plus the mascot is cool.

Thanks to Bob B. for finding, then holding this for several weeks while I made arrangements to have it rejoin the others.
