Default SGC Price hike?

Is it just me, or did SGC raise prices? I am seeing different price structures on their website vs the new submission forms....

And no more non-sports category...that was 5 or 6 dollars depending on the form used. Now everything is 10. Seems like they are going to be losing some business over this decision, IMO.

What were the old rates? Can someone post a pic with them side-by-side?

Crappy timing, I was going to send something down to Del Boca Vista over the weekend.

When I wrote them today they gave me a deadline of March 1st for old rates...must use handwritten form, though.

I'm not thrilled with an increase, but they're probably due for one. Comparatively they've always been fairly cheap and more importantly all my subs with them have hit the turn around time except for one that ran through National weekend. With PSA you never know, I've had specials pop anywhere between one week and four months.

I saw that too, most of their prices are now the same or even higher than PSA. One of the things they had going for them were their prices were lower than PSA.

Now all they have to do is improve the inner black gasket that my t206's keep sliding behind. Something they promised to improve on more than once.

I knew with PSA's prices it was only a matter of time before SGC closed that gap.
This is not surprising to me nor should it be to anyone on here imo.

Default Price Hikes

I believe Beckett (BVG) has hiked as well. They called me about some upcoming in-show "special" they're running. I wasn't really interested but out of curiosity I asked what the special was - $10 per card for 50 or more cards (that's "special"?) .. and get this - 45 day turn time - - I know that 45 day turn thing is a PSA favorite - I think that's ridiculous. That's 45 business days = over 2 months. Get real.

Yeah, they have raised their rates. 40% increase on some. But, they are still the best deal.
PSA turn around time is terrible. When you consider the cost verses the turn around time, I don't think the pricing between the two is a major issue.

That being said, I have a 10 BD still sitting there on day 12. I sent it in before the move and shill info was out. So, here I sit waiting on them.

I seem to remmber the price being $10 and if you hit a special you might get a better price or quicker turn around.
