Geez, the way they threw and dropped the ball, for a while I was convinced the Vikings had taken the field.

in Minnesota. He's our third pitcher, not our first. But we did O.K. in Minnesota last time...

Boy the As REALLY sucked yesterday! Hitting, fielding, pitching, you name it.

Today the Twins sucked because of great pitching from Mulder. But hey we got one game in Oakland and I am assured of seeing the game Saturday. I am bringing ear plugs, that Metrodome gets really loud.

Twins will prevail!!!!!!!!

When you start Joe Mays in Game 2 of the Playoffs, you are acting with your heart, not you head. Mays was crappy before he went on the DL with an ERA close to 10 and other than one good start after he returned, he has been crappy ever since. We gave them game 2. Kyle Lohse kept the Twins together when everybody went down but instead of rewarding him for his 13 win season, he gets to pitch 2 innings of relief while Mays stinks up the joint AGAIN.
I look for Gardenhire to pitch Pedro Ramos in Game 4...

but they weren't going to win yeterday anyway, not with their approach to Mulder. They have to learn how to beat a good pitcher on a day when he is good. SMALL BALL! Slap that nasty stuff foul and look to go the other way. I still say bunt, bunt, steal, steal and put guys in motion. The A's have scored on some shots down the line when Koskie was drawn in by the threat of a bunt and couldn't react in time. Twins must force
the same.
Let's face it, they beat Hudson because he made mistakes and they hit them. But they go up looking for mistakes, and have little or no plan on how to handle the good pitches. Jacques Jones is not a true leadoff hitter and has trouble with lefties, so Rivas should lead off game 3. LeCroy was a good choice, and should stay. Move Hunter to 3 hole against Zito, and go right/left/right/left, etc. as much as possible. My 1/50th of a dollar.
