Default Finished with 1951 Bowman Baseball set?

I missed the boat on the Mantle RC, I just can't see spending $1,000 plus on a piece of cardboard?

Can't say that I blame ya, Larry. I filled the #253 slot for years with a replicard cut out of the SCD centerfold issue, but eventually lost my mind and paid 400 bucks for a Fair Mantle just to complete the set. Hey, how many years into his plush lifestyle, did Bob Costas carry a dog-eared Mantle beater in his wallet, simply because it was THE card that he pulled out of a pack in his childhood?
