Default Is this Joe Louis a ticket or a proof?

I just bought a nice collection of boxing tickets, mostly Joe Louis and Rocky Marciano.
I have seen similar to this one (no seat or box) on the net and they are called full ticket.
Is it a proof or a ticket?
Thanks in advance.

Richard,

I wish I could be definitive, but I'd likely call it a Full Ticket, have suitable pictures and description, and let the buyer decide what exactly if was used for.

It does have a Section number, and that could have very been a low demand section they didn't think assigned seating was important for, and used it as sort of a general seating section.

There was 22,000+ in attendance for that bout in Yankee Stadium, so it wasn't exactly sold out.

Don't think it's exactly a proof, but very likely could have been from a batch that was printed for sections of the stadium, that wasn't likely to see many attendees.

A lot of these types of tickets came out of the Jim Jacobs/Bill Cayton collection. I believe they had access to or purchased the leftovers of various promotions throughout their years of collecting.
