Yesterday I got a card in the mail that I'd won on ebay. I'd been wanting it for a long time. Pulled it out of the envelope, and my heart sank. Despite the fact that it was in a PSA holder, the card had, even to my inexperienced eye, obviously been trimmed. To see whether my gut instinct was correct, I decided to get a second opinion from Kevin Saucier, who couldn't have been more helpful. He doesn't know me from Adam, but he got back to me right away with a detailed email in which he confirmed (as well as you can from a scan, anyway) my suspicions. Thanks, Kevin.

While I'm at it, can I just say how much this relative newbie appreciates the Net54 board? From invaluable advice on pricing (Leon), to great deals on cards (Russ, Mike, Frank, Dave, Rob), it's renewed my interest in and passion for the hobby.

Um, and that's about it. Too much sentimentality for a Thursday morning ...

Kevin,

I'm sorry you chose American Idol over dinner with Anthony and me but we'll do it again soon.

Kevin is one of the best "things" to happen to the hobby the paast couple of years

Common'...give a brother a break, I had tickets to the grand finale. Hottest ticket in the world, which I'm going to send to PSA for grading (it's soaking now). It will be a whole new industry.

Plus I only had a day notice...next time .

All the best,

Kevin

I'm trying to think of something to spoil the mood, but I'm not very good at that sort of thing. How about a frowny face?

Please tell me it didn't involve foot signals in the restroom
