FS: Former Portland Beavers PCL Player 1932 Game Used Bat
Frank Mellana 1932 game used baseball bat from the Hillerich & Bradsby vaults. The 32 ounce bat has the H & B and block letter ‘Mellana’ stamps on the barrel and the 1932 date and 'Frank Mellana' side written on the barrel. This company side writing was by H & B and shows the bat came from Mellana in 1932. As was standard procedure for players, Mellana sent in his well used bat so H & B could make more like it for him. The bat is intact, but with some big cracks, a bat nail and some grain separation. Shows lots of use and still looks overall nice.
