Default reds postcards

[ATTACH] [/ATTACH I am seeking information on this postcard. Hand written date on the back says 1936 1937. I have several different ones ,but they all have varies hand written dates on the back all in the 1930's. Interested to know if there legit or not.

Hi,
The IMAGE, not the postcard, is from perhaps 1936, but not 1937 Reds. The 1937 Reds uniform was a different style altogether.
These RPPC's (real photo post cards) are photos that originated from the collection of renowned photographer George Burke.
For many years he sold these postcards through ads that he placed in trade magazines. The are collectible, but not uncommon, FWIW.

I collect signed Burke postcards of no-hit pitchers. I have always found them to be nice images.

Yep...the Kodak stamp box dates this to at least 1950 or newer, and most likely 1970s when the majority of these were sold through ads in the back of magazines like The Sporting News.
