Yesterday we had over 25,600 hits to the main page with over 1230 unique IP addresses. On an average day we get around 15000-18000 hits and 1100 unique IP's .....It seems controversy brings about activity....Also, anyone, even if banned, can still see the board. I think there was a question about that....best regards

Leon,

When we spoke yesterday before the story broke, I suspected this would happen. It was a huge story. People are interested in the stories around the industry more than anything it would appear.

We will keep em comin(although hopefully no more sad stories like this one).

Jim

I don't know that answer. I think it's one of the more popular ones. I would guess there's a Star Trek one or some other collector one that could have more activity. I doubt this is the most looked at.

Jim- I agree...

Even at your lower estimate of 15,000 hits a day that means the site gets over 5 million hits a year.Thats amazing when you realize just over 5 years ago,we werent sure whether this board would be the one or the Mike Williams yahoo group would be,and alot of people didnt even know if there was a new board after the fullcount one.
and im sure the numbers have been at that level you mentioned for awhile

Impressive gathering, no doubt..but keep in mind when you use the term 'hits' that typically includes all graphics/pics on the page as well. In other words there are several 'hits' on one page each time it's opened. Page Views is a more accurate measurement of what's being looked at and how much.

I really wasn't trying to get too technical but this is what I see on the owner stats, to me hits were page views:

*(system was down over New Years, and the 3rd got cut off by accident)
