I don't understand his need to pick on Pauly Shore movies. Personally, I still find them enjoyable..

The writer was a female as an FYI...I think she hit the mark, personally.

Default Ugh

I usually shrug off this kind of crossover thing in the pre war vintage section, with all the psa stuff on the main page, which really belongs in the watercooler section. Well, It happens, so why would I nitpick and make a stink about it? However, I will. This OP post really belongs in the post war modern. I just personally don't want to see the pre war forum corrupted, as it seems to be becoming. And, I adore the post war vintage and modern forum, even though I don't even collect modern. Where is the love for those other forums.? I mean, I could post post-war here on the vintage forum all day long.

Apologies to all. I thought it might have been appropriate as a general discussion of the future of industry. Clearly I should have thought it over before posting. Leon, feel free to move/remove as necessary. Sorry.

"Base" product has been non-compelling for years. I usually will buy a box or two of the Heritage set just to satisfy my urge to open something. Also gives me some vintage looking cards to get signed at the ballpark and Spring Training.

Topps is just lazy the last few years in card design. Nothing interesting like in the 1950's and 1960's.

Also, so lazy, they call a card an All Star card just because they stick a teenie All Star logo on it. Whatever happened to designing the All Star cards with a different neat design to them like they did years ago? This goes for all special cards like record breakers or world series cards, etc.

Plus, can they make the print any smaller when they add a line to the front of the card to say something different?

Un-inspired design and lazy lazy lazy special cards lately. No good to give Topps a monopoly. Oh well, this has forced other companies to do some different things, like create a bunch of cut autographs of old players on cards, now those i like!!

I will say though, i never cared about the numbering system, never looked at who was numbered what number. Dont understand why this is so important. I would like to see all players from the same team numbered together if they are gonna do anything special with numbers.
