Default finder's fee or buyers premium fee?? for t206 collection

Posted By: william

howdy folks,

i am curious as to what are the typical fees a buyer pays for cards/collections of cards in a private one to one sale facilitated by a collectibles "broker" as well as typical but reasonable buyers premium at the different online/offline card auctions.

thanks in advance! cheers

I think that there are too many variables to give an exact answer. If it were $1000 lot it might be one percentage and if it were a $500,000 lot it could be another. If I had to take a stab at an amount for a larger transaction I would say that 5%-10% could be in line....but this is just a guess. I don't think there will be a right or wrong answer....

I agree with Leon. I would say 10% is a fair finder's fee for a good modest sized collection, and that fee could be negotiated down for a substantial one.

I get about 10% on avg and then help with selling or finding auction houses to work with if they are high end cards that I could not sell myself

I'd think 10% would do it, although they may ask for more.

I will gladly pay you 5%-10% (of card value) if you can negotiate on my behalf a trade for a T206 Wagner using a previously discussed card.

I just happen to be in the market for lots of T206's in lower grades. Find me some and we'll tawk (I'm originally from new yawk....). I have found 5/6 larger $ items for DEALERS/AUCTIONEERS and have gotten about 5% for doing so.....
