Default Jays HOF'er Robbie Alomar

Pls excuse the modern era post, but for a Jays fan one can't go back further than 1977, and as iconic Jays go, one can hardly do better than Roberto Alomar. Robbie graciously signed my 1992 WS ball at a Jays Winter Road Tour stop luncheon here in Calgary this afternoon.

Is it the photo or is it my eyes but has Alomar's signature changed recently? It looks nothing like my ball and photo that I got 10 years ago.
Just curious.

You are correct...not as fluid and flowing as in the past. And without adding "12". Not sure why, as it wasn't rushed. Perhaps a HOF election and the corresponding onslaught of sig requests made him adjust?

It is a nice autograph but I guess it is another example of the deteriorating signature of the American athlete.
It was never like this in my opinion until the late 1990s early 2000s.

The Reds caravan was at the local mall a couple hours ago and Joe Morgan was there. I have had this card signed by Rose and Perez since 85 or 86 amd have wanted to get Morgan to sign it ever since. 30 years later l finished the card. I also had him sign a ball that also has Mantle, Grimes, Terry, Hubble, Ford, Jackson, Kaline, Gehringer, Mize, Feller, Sewell amd Dickey. I figured thay eventually l would have toay to get the card signed but got it done no charge.

Congrats! Morgan is a notorious grouch when it comes to signing for free. How was his mood?

He didn't seem to be in a bad mood, but then again they were there from 5 till 8:30 exactly amd my son and l got the items signed at 8:28. We were told no autographs after 8:30 so we just made it. I noticed he had ballpoint pens and red, black and silver sharpies. I was afraid that may be the case so brought my own blue one which he kept, but l figured its a small price to pay, lol. They also had Devin Mesoraco, manager Bryan Price and minor leaguer Alex Blandino.

Morgan is an absolute d@%k. I was 10 years old trying to get his autograph, along with John Miller because the baseball tonight crew was there at the Metrodome. So, I want them both to sign and Morgan keeps passing over me time and time again. Kept following where he was signing next and then pretty much yelled and me saying he signed for me and to leave him alone. Almost didn't want to buy a signed rookie of his because of that interaction.

Not old and not baseball, but pretty cool if you ask me. I always wanted one of these.

I got my 2014 Phil Hughes game used jersey signed. This is one of my coolest and quite possibly rarest item I have. The importance of this is that he wore this jersey en route to setting the MLB record for best strikeout/walk ration in history.

Very cool, Skip. Dale Murphy sure has a nice, classy looking signature.

Respectfully, how can the #72 Hamburger jersey be "game used" when that version of the Twins jersey was just revealed a couple months ago?

Brent,

I remember the name, because it so unique....he had some issues with failed tests, right?

Pitcher if I remember correctly?

Probably remember the quietly infamous headline "Guardado traded for a Hamburher" lol. Yessir, when he was with the Pads or 'Stros I believe. And yes, a pitcher.

Met Mark Hamburger last year when Rochester was in town playing a series against the local AAA team. Easily one of the nicest players I've met in the last several years.

My best January pick up. My first son Anthony born on January 15th, and his first autograph. The ball with the foot print has already been sent to PSA for authentication : )

I hope that he ends up loving this hobby like me, but I guess he is off to a good start.

Glad I didn't have to follow that pickup!!! What a blessing! Congrats my friend. I am so going to steal the footprint on a ball idea, that's brilliant. That'll go perfectly with my signed ball from my girlfriend when we have kids at some point.

Great idea for a signing, Giovanni. I waited too long and will have to use a basketball.

good idea sending it to PSA...i think their ball cube is UV-protected so the footprint won't fade over time.
