Hey guys,
I picked up this small photo in an estate auction. It came in its original period frame, and the photo is mounted somewhat crooked on the board. One of the players is wearing a shirt that says possibly Victoria AA, while most others have MED or MEDI on there shirts. I was estimating a date of this photo in the 1900 to 1905 era; does that sound right?

My real question for you is what do you think the decorative letters above the players reads: it looks like it says Something M B C; possibly Baseball Club? but the first letter looks like a backwards N - but i maybe wrong.

I would say that since one of the players is wearing a jersey with "Victoria" on it, the letter in question is probably a "V".

Since it's Victoria, the BC could conceivably mean "British Columbia."

Another possible clue--on each of the two posts appears to be an American flag. Possibly a joint US/Canadian baseball league? For what it is worth, pins from this era spell "baseball" as two words, "base ball".

Thanks for all the input guys.
Paul, I could see it being a V too, but I can't imagine what that other straight line would be. There is a Backwards N in the Bulgarian alphabet (too many google searches can be dangerous). Could this be a youth team doing a barnstorming tour in Bulgaria? Just kidding obviously

The girl does certainly look pissed off. Because of the stuff above her head, it also looks like she is sporting corn rows.

I live in Media PA and this auction was pretty close to me, so I thought the Med something on the jerseys could spell Media, but i'm not sure.
The British Columbia thing could be right as well.
I guess this one will remain a mystery.

I just look for one second and see "n M B C"

Some people mix lower case and upper case letters.
