Default *******Scam Warning*******

WARNING PLEASE READ

If someone calls you from PSA and tells you that they are offering free re-holdering for your whole collection, and that you should package all your cards and leave them on your front porch so they can pick them up and save you shipping cost.

DO NOT DO THIS, IT IS A SCAM. They just want to steal your baseball cards. I wish I had received this warning yesterday, I feel so stupid.

Hard to believe anyone would package all of their cards up and leave them on their doorstep. If anyone wants to just give me some money please PM me and I will give you my address to send it to.

I assume this thread is a joke. However, if someone has obtained personal information from a TPG, that would be important information to know.

I live in a second story condo and have neither a basement nor a front porch.

And for probably obvious meteorological reasons, you don't leave baseball cards outside in Seattle this time of year.

You could put the cards on top of the campfire, next to the tent.

Default More confused than ever!!!

Put my cards on top of the camp fire next to my tent? How crazy is that Tony N???. Think about it!!! PSA guy comes to my camp fire, reaches for my cards, burns both his hands on the roaring fire and my valuable cards go flying willy-nilly in the cool night time air. He gets pissed off, leaves me with my 1981 Fleer Rookie Joe Charboneau cards (all one thousand and twenty two cards, mostly fair to good condition, no creases) scattered around the camp fire.
Please no more foolish suggestions. I need these cards graded for free to make a profit at the "National" in Chicago.

Damn, now all they need to do is offer a special for reholdering my wife. I'd be more than willing to place her on the front porch for free pickup.

You guys aren't going to believe this, but a lady from SGC called me, and said they are offering me a free re-holdering service for my whole collection.

The only thing is that I have to pay the shipping costs, and she said to leave them by the curb for faser pickup.

PSA just called me & said they would pick up my cards early tomorrow morning.

My question is: Should I put them out tonite and sleep late or get up real early & put them out then and take a nap in the PM to make up for it?

I'm rather new at this, so any advice from this learned & experienced Board is much appreciated.

So reading your warning as written, you're asserting that it was PSA that scammed you. Wow! First, it was grading the T206 Wagner from Mastro, then the WIWAG/Grade & Trade scandal, then Dan McKee's Magie debacle plus a long list of other fiascos too numerous to mention and now something as low as this? When will it stop?

Default Confused no more!!

Thanks for all the suggestions about my having no porch to put my cards on problem. A wonderful thing happened outside my tent last night! I was listening to the World Series on my 1960's transistor radio and I kept hearing a whisper saying, "Build it and he will come." Over and over the whisper whistled thru the wind above my tiny, two man Army tent that proudly I call home. "Build it and he will come." "Build it and he will come." As that big third baseman jumped on home plate for the third time, a distinct voice came over the radio and said, "Just build a damn porch you fool!" Anyone on this board hear it too?
Well it took me all night but I built a porch! A damn good porch!
Put my cards out on the porch and expect to see them picked up shortly!!!
Seems like a good idea for a movie, don't you think?

You could have just left them on Funk & Wagnall's porch. If you have a mayonnaise jar.
