just noticed another estate find of really rare cards. I guess the new rule of thumb must be that if a card is found at an estate sale it must be worth money....LOL

I think the line that cracked me up was the "these cards look and smell old". He has a few lots up of cards from his estate purchase. Take a look at his Goudey lot. There is one of the Lajoie cards in there. Kind of funny that he knows enough about the star players in there and he just shows a pic of the cards all lumped together in a pile.

Change your socks, drink water, and drive on.

I am almost certain that everything he is selling has been reprinted at one time or another. I noticed that all the lots appear to be stained the same way. Notice the backs of the E90-1 lot....where the reprint mark should be you can faintly see some sort of mark on the cards.
How many times have the Babe Ruth Goudey's been redone.....4-5. I have 2 uncut sheets of Goudey Reprints from 2 different sources done in different decades.
It's a shame that people get suckered in just by the mere mention of the word "estate sale".

S/he does say, "BUT ARE BEING SOLD AS POSSIBLE COPIES." The "possible" might be pushing it- but is it really that deceiving?

One of my favorite bookmarks,
This report link covers all violations used by the scammers, click on the suspect item, cut n paste the item number.

Keyword Spam, (which lately is far more tolerated)

Authenticity Disclaimers (this auction fits)

Replica and Counterfeit Items

Report early as it takes Security a couple of days to process.
Because of increased workload, ebaY security has become 'overworked', thus the ebaY security filter may give higher priority to long-established reporters. Reports from newbee accounts, at times, appear to be be blown off.

I can't imagine the flood of complaints pouring into that server.
