I have little self respect but just enough common sense. Maybe there will be a reprint set. Maybe Fogel will add them to the exhibit.

Had no idea that these cards even existed. Interesting!

Amazingly I got 14 more of these. Forgot all about this thread. The auction closes tomorrow night! Basically the 14 non-rares in mid grade.

Straight up, Allen Suck Jr with the purple wide collar 70's pimpin' outfit is the beast in your auction. Undiscovered gem IMO.

Above post states that each kid received a 1,000 card lot of themselves. They must still have them, I don't think they would have thrown them out.

First a 1969 Bowie Kuhn card that I had no awareness of and now the 1971 Topps Winner cards that I never knew about. This site is fantastic for this sort of thing and makes me keep coming back.

I never even knew that a Topps contest even existed when I was 11 in 71. I would have done that in a heartbeat.

Cool things folks, keep them coming.

I imagine they handed them out to friends and family and did other dumb kid stuff with them. I would be surprised if any of the people in question had very many, if any, of their cards left.
