Default APBA/Strat-o-matic and the like

I remember playing stratomatic baseball and apba as a kid...early role playing games and good fun! I recently acquired a lot of old games...mostly apba(mostly bb,fb, some bowling and golf), some strat o matic games...and a few others from I'd guess from the late 60's-80's. I haven't really sorted through it yet just threw it in a big pile!

I quickly looked on ebay and apparently some of these have value. Is there a resource...or does anyone know relative values or scarce issues or anything about what they may be worth?

Many are brand new...never opened still in original shipping materials. Any help is appreciated.

Peter

I started buying strat-o-matic in 1968 and stopped in the mid-1990s. The pre-1971 one-sided cards are the ones that have a higher value, particularly the very (very) limited cards from 1960 and 1961 (or is it 1961 and 1962...hmmm) . I don't have a current grasp of the values of the pre-1971 values, but perhaps others have a better idea.

I did manage to purchase some 1960 or 1961 cards a few years back, and will post scans. If I recall correctly, the first year only had 40 cards of players and was produced in very limited quantities--under 200. However, my memory may be way off on this.

You need to be in touch w/ Butch & his game forum. He will probably see your post, but here is his website:

Default APBA forum

There are a sizable number of APBA enthusiasts who post on the APBA forum.

http://forums.delphiforums.com/apbab...s/?msg=33486.1

There is a classifieds section with sellers and buyers for APBA stuff.

They are a friendly group, but some are pretty snippy if you mention S-O-M or other games.
