Default Another IDIOTIC ebayer!

My Hall of Fame Lenox Chance is priced High I know, but I sold my McGraw for $4K. Now this idiot decides to educate me on T206s.

Thanks for the rant last night guys and gals!

Hey Dan thanks for the plug

I have my share but I think every decent seller on eBay will come across a few.

It makes it interesting.

It looks like he used the Value Estimator on T206.org

"IDIOTIC ebayer" or not, what made you feel like you had to insult him, call him names and start a thread about it?

Why not take the time to educate him?

I agree. The way it was handled was over the top. If you don't want to deal with lowball offers, then have ebay do an automatic decline of them.

This^

Your response to him was really what started it and was simply uncalled for. Looks like he did do some "homework" and came up with $420 from an online T206 source. Whether that's really the price somebody is willing to pay or not is irrelevant, you simply should have just explained yourself in a professional manner and declined if you didn't want to sell. Or like has been mentioned, have Ebay set up for automatic offer decline if you have a bare bottom number in mind.

Dan, was the card seriously under-graded?

Did you publish your phone number and demand him to call you and or ask him if he has ever owned a jock?

Did you lowball him on the item and then when it didn’t work out come on a public chat board and slam his cards as over-graded garbage?

Did you explain that you’re most likely one of the top 5 T206 collectors of Net54?

If not those are options that you can try as well in the future vs. calling him an idiot.

There are a lot of casual collectors, as opposed to those hopelessly addicted to the monster, who don't have a clue as to scarce backs. There really is no accurate price guide, in book form or online, from which such a buyer could educate himself. Look at T206.org and you'll get a price of a few hundred bucks. Look at the SCD Vintage catalog and the card is worth maybe $100 times a multiplier of 10 to 15x for the back. SMR says its a $75 card in good condition. You really have to know past auction prices to know the value of Dan's card. Most casual collectors will not do that much research.

5 or 6 single sentance posts in a row? Can't you form a single concise post. Every time you rage like a freaking idiot you start slamming a post like you are trying to get it to the next page or something.....

Jealous. You can't be serious. Remove your own penis from your own mouth GUY. I chose whole heartedly to NOT be like you. I don't care if you are venting. Im not alone when I say you acted like a dick to the guy...and its not the first time.

Maybe you are what you eat then... huh?

T206.org is my guess. They quote it at $420. I , like you, do not agree with that. I just assume that is where he is getting his pricing.

cmaimone( 431) US $300.00 You declined Feb-21-13 09:19:54 PST 07047
Seller message: It is a HOF u idiot! My McGraw sold for $4k. Do ur homework dumbshit!
Buyer message: the T206 card which sold at $7500 is a Lenox BROWN back which is extraordinarily rare. Your card is a Lenox BLACK back which is much more common. your card which is in "Good" condition is worth $425

Where do these moronic idiots come from?

I thought only buythatcard attracted these losers

A hall of famer Lenox back is worth several thousand no matter what the color or grade.
He seems much more reasonable than you.

Dan, I agree the guy was a dumbs..t, but you really didn't need to point that out to him. On the other hand, it's not like you lost a potential sale to a guy who wants to spend $300 for a Lenox.
I want to add that I bought a card from Dan last month. It was a BIN, I made an offer, Dan counter- offered, I accepted, and we both were happy. No problems and no drama. Thanks Dan.

Yes Sean I agree with you. I get tons of goofy offers and I usually just decline them and populate my blocked bidder list.

This one was bad timing, I had a horrible day at work and was late getting home. So I blew up. But anyone that knows me, that is me right or wrong sometimes.

At least you didn't get the guy who wanted me to end my auction early (7 day auction) and pay me $5 shipping included for a $20.00 card. He was politely told that I do not end auctions early especially when I have watchers.
