Awesome Jim. It's beautifully done. I must admit it's very inspiring to do something similar. Bravo!!

Jeff,

The top right is a glossy photo page salvaged from a destroyed and unredeemable original copy of Christy Mathewson's 1912 book "Pitching in a Pinch" with the small type in the lower left indicating it is a Louis Van Oeyen photograph. It is one of my favorite Bender in action shots, and even though it is an ephemera item it is an 1912 original.

The bottom right is a one of a kind hand drawn sketch produced by Atlantic Lithorgraphic and Printing Company. I have a separate thread regrading this item that will show you a better image of it.

I remember you posted this a while ago asking for suggestions, and wow I have to say you did an incredible job! The old window frame is a nice touch. Definitely one of the best and most creative displays I've ever seen.

Wow Jim, beautiful display! Looks so much better in a multi-window frame than a dark closet

great job!

My only recommendation would be switch these cards:
move the t204 to top cnter, put the T205 below the E103 and put the e90 where the t204 was. Of course I'm just nit-picking

Glad I could help, Jim!!

Love the final product! That W600 looks great in your display! Hopefully you'll be able to add a Monarch Typewriter to the display!

I have expanded my framed Bender collection outside the card realm. Here are my latest framed Bender pieces.

The framed photo is a Type 1 American Press Association photo of Bender with a cut autograph in a period frame. The photo, which is my favorite Bender image, has been my personal white whale which I finally harpooned. It is circa 1912 and depicts Bender in his prime.

The second framed pieces are the 1912 and 1913 Reach Baseball Catalogs in a period frame. The 1912 piece showcases Bender, Baker and Collins. The 1913 piece depicts Bender and Crawford.

I found the old frames and framed the pieces myself, I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Here is the current iteration of my Chief Bender project. I can't quite seem to stop tinkering with it! Of course if I could only manage to talk Jerry out of his Bender Rose postcard....

Wow Jim, I have not seen that image before, it is fantastic! A great signature and a very nice frame too -- you are making me want to stop by your house for a beer and a tour!

Jim, your display is magnificent, and shows a lot of thought and care as to the arranging and positioning. As big of a Chief Bender fan as you are, here's a sincere wish and hope you one day land a pretty Rose postcard!

Thanks again for showing us the centerpiece of your collection. ---Brian Powell
