Found these auctions on EBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=73435&item=5170311707

then from earlier in the month:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=60480&item=5167193527

Note the fine explanation of where they got the card and then the.....I think you can all figure out what I mean.

I emailed the seller noting the earlier purchase. Here is his response:

"I knew what I was buying when I purchased that card. I only bought for comparison purposes. Do the cards look the same? Thank you for your time. Have a good day."

He says "do the cards look the same" How can you tell when he gives you a micro scan. You can get a better view of venus with the naked eye on a cloudy night that you can of that scan he provides

Comparison purposes? Why not save a $100 dollars and get his "other" Mantle that he found in the safe graded?

I have E mailed this scammer and let him know that not only am I reporting him to eBay but also the FBI and the Virginia Attorney Generals office.

I wish I were independently wealthy for 2 reasons; First, I could build a great baseball card collection and Second, I could go after these scammers and have them put in jail and the fake cards destroyed.

Thanks for letting me vent,

David

Funny how all these miraculous find E bayers usually have low feedback ratings with not a whole lot of transactions.

Just once I'd like to pry open some floorboards in my house and find a '52 Mantle.

Sometimes I feel like the only one who hasn't.

Aaron - I have a house for sale, which has an authentic?? T206 Wagner hidden somewhere. I don't remember where they told me it was, when I bought the house, but I will sell it to you at a steal price.
