Default Question about 1999 UD SP Authentic Football

Apologize in advance. I now this is a vintage football card forum. Please move the thread if needed. Didn't know where to post.

Was wondering if anyone has seen these cards with the serial number written in sharpie instead of the usual stamp?
Anybody know why they did it and if the the sharpie written serial numbers carry a premium?
Thanks

Is the stamp on the right embossed?

The earlier numbered version of this card seem to have the serial number embossed in silver like the rest of the card. I wonder if there were any manufacturing issues?

Its been a while, but if I remember correctly, Upper Deck sent hand numbered versions back if a damaged card was sent to them.
