Default Lemon Peel Authenticity Question

Does this lemon peel look legit? Any authenticity concerns? I dont know that Ive seen one in such great shape before.

Mike that's kind of why I passed on it it just look too good the stitching looks too good everything about it I didn't like

The thing that stands out to me is the perfect 90 degree cuts of the ball and the perfectly straight stitching. This along with condition screams repo to me

Agree it doesn't look right.... not completely hand-made, and far too precise (on both the stitching and the "cuts"). Someone got taken, IMO.

I followed this ball upon its initial posting to ebay and spoke to a fellow collector and board member about this exact topic just yesterday morning. I too am very skeptical about this piece and doubt it has any age to it at all.

No doubt its a lemon peel ball...and a quality one for that matter...just one that was made recently for vintage baseball game use. My 2 cents anyway.
